    > This magnificent, 4000-square foot, detached barn conversion sits in 3 acres and commands great views over the surrounding countryside. The very large open-plan living space is the heart of the property and is a great place for families and friends to gather together, whether for a family holiday or a special occasion. This stylish holiday home has been finished to a very good standard, with features and attention to detail abound throughout, offering both endless space and comfort with green oak beams which frame the large windows, creating a light airy feel. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, perfect for an evening meal around the table with loved ones, complimented by extensive views over lush pastures.
Hampshire could be called the birthplace of England, with a beautiful landscape encompassing seaside resorts, chalk downs, open pasture and deep woodland, not to mention the birthplace of the armed forces. You can explore the region’s influence on English culture and industry through the history of Austen, Dickens and Brunel - three of Hampshire’s most famous former residents. Alternatively, appreciate the land itself as Hyde Barn sits on the edge of the New Forest National Park, where you can see the free-roaming ponies, donkeys and cattle and enjoy off-road walking, riding and cycling. Enjoy the perfect balance between a secluded break and easy access to all the local attractions and amenities, as the quaint market town of Fordingbridge is close by with its famous stone bridge and fine arches, plenty of shops, pubs, a café and riverside location to enjoy. The coastline with its Blue Flag beaches at Bournemouth and Poole is within easy reach, as is the city of Salisbury with its medieval cathedral. There are many places of interest for the family to visit, including Marwell Zoological Park, New Forest Otter and Owl Wildlife Park or a day out at Beaulieu Motor Museum to name but a few places of interest nearby. Further afield, but worth the trip are Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool, Southampton with its maritime history and West Quay shopping centre. There is much to visit further afield, in particular the unspoilt countryside of Dorset, famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast from West Bay, Bridport and on to Weymouth with its superb scenery and coastal walking. Spend a day at Lyme Regis with its harbour, renowned Cobb, beach and shops and enjoy fossil hunting, boating, swimming and fishing. There are many historic houses to visit in particular Forde Abbey and Gardens, or family attractions such as Pecorama, the quarries at Beer, or inland at the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton which is an adventure in itself. Shop 1 mile, pub 1/4 mile.

A our annual family get together we spent a lot of our time in the House and Garden Cottage was great and as described comfortable with a lot of room. Garden had a lot of loose and sharp stone used for paths and was not good for bare footed children and the dogs to run in more grass and paving would have improved things a lot overall a very good

Aging rapidly and in need of tlc. Grass needed cutting. Give me a can opener that works!

Wonderful barn to host a hen weekend, everybody was thrilled! More than enough space for 14 guests and the hosts thought of everything. Beds were comfortable, towels were good and the kitchen was fully stocked. We were even given fresh flowers and chocolate cake on arrival - a real treat! The location was remote but stunning and exactly what we were after. We spent the morning at New Forest Water Park which was just a 5 minute drive away. Thank you, we’d love to come back soon!

We wanted a base for family walking trips so the location was 10 for us, but may not be for families with small children seeking entertainment. There were some good pubs in the area but we found it easy to self cater. The space and amount of kitchen equipment were exceptional. The master bedrooms had dramatic views across the countryside and all the bathrooms were excellent.

Well coordinated with the hosts. Beautiful space, lots of room but also very homely. Can't wait to return! Showers started to go cold after a lot of people had used them. Also, upstairs gets a bit chilly so wrap up warm (although we did arrive in snow so it would have been cold anyway!).
