This cottage is in a idyllic location just a few minutes walk from Uley Bury and the Cotswold Way. It has lovely views. For a One-bedroom cottage it is quite spacious & has a good place to sit outdoors. The beds are a bit soft (but you might like that) and there’s only 13.5 tog duvets, even in mid-summer, which is a bit daft. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped but a bit basic. The owners, who live next door, are very pleasant but don’t intrude. Overall, it’s a very nice place for a couple (& dog) to enjoy relaxation & walking.

Lovely spacious cottage. Warm, comfortable and dog friendly. Had been freshly painted.

A great cottage in a lovely location. Would be great in the Summer without the wind rain and mud! The hosts were very helpful and hospitable!

Lovely cottage with everything we needed. We particularly liked the provision of an electric blanket which not many other places provide. Also there was a lot more fuel rather than the usual two firelighters and a couple of logs. The fire had been lit for our arrival which was very welcome.

We loved the cottage, it was situated in a beautiful area and the views from the cottage were stunning. It was lovely and quiet. We enjoyed having the real fire.

A lovely quiet hideaway on the edge of a working village nestled in a corner of the Cotswolds less visited.

This is a beautiful Cotswold location with views from the cottage and walking from the door. We were given a warm welcome by the owners on arrival. The cottage is roomy for two, very comfortable and well equipped and clean. The owners live next door but were unobtrusive yet helpful and informative as needed. There is plenty to see and do in the area. Highlights for us were Slimbridge, Westonbirt Arboretum and Dyrham Park. The cottage is located not far from the Cotswold Way and also provides plenty of opportunity for circular walks. The cottage isn’t far from shops and amenities but located up an unmade track. Both the track and steps down to the cottage did not cause us an issue.

A nice cottage but overpriced for what you get, quite basic.

We were met and made very welcome by the owners Allan and Vicki. The views from the cottage are beautiful which can be viewed from a patio with furniture. The cottage is warm and homely with a stove (with ALL fuel provided). Uley is easily within walking distance where there is a well stocked community shop and the Old Crown pub which serves a good selection of real ales and hearty meals at a reasonable price. The town of Dursley is a long walk but a short drive with a Sainsbury's supermarket, a good selection of shops, a fuel station and garage. There are plenty of walks from the cottage and it is only a short distance off the Cotswold Way. Well behaved dogs are made very welcome and can wander about in the beautiful garden. We cannot fault Hydehill Cottage (this was actually our second visit).

We had a very relaxing peaceful holiday. Lovely cottage with beautiful views and Allan and Vicky were most helpful and lovely people. There is much to do in the surrounding area and we would go back again.
