Having been refurbished to a very good standard throughout, this comfortable and tastefully styled, semi-detached bungalow is ideal for couples or families wishing to explore this popular part of Hampshire. The spacious light and airy open plan living/dining room has reclining leather sofas (one of which is a sofa bed for visitors or if somebody wants to be in a separate room), and French doors to the enclosed patio garden with gazebo and garden furniture – a good spot for al fresco dining! There are also two twin bedrooms. It is close to the Yacht Harbour, and about 1½ miles from the historic village square of Hamble-le-Rice, with its famous quay (where you can hop on the small pink passenger ferry to Warsash)! There are also various inns, a tea room and local shops.The parish of Hamble has good rail links from the modest station nearby, to Southampton, London and Portsmouth. The village has played a significant role in the country’s aviation and maritime history, and there are few villages in Britain that can boast to have had a priory, a Norman church and a castle over the centuries. Today, Hamble is known as a sailing and yachting centre of excellence, and many people visit to enjoy the friendly community spirit and ambiance.This is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the area. There are popular destinations such as maritime Southampton and Portsmouth with historic ships, designer shopping, leisure facilities and ferries to the Isle of Wight. Visit Winchester with its cathedral, Stonehenge, Paultons Family Theme Park and Marwell Zoo with Peppa Pig World. Enjoy excellent walking in the New Forest and the South Downs National Parks, a day trip to Beaulieu Motor Museum or the seaside resorts of Hayling Island, Poole and Bournemouth, all within easy driving distance. Another good excursion is to Netley Royal Victoria Park with its beaches and views of the Solent. Also worth a visit are Manor Farm Country Park and Hampshire Strawberry Trail. Golf and fishing are available locally. Beach 3 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

we had a lovely week with our dog. Weather was great so was able to enjoy the patio area. The welcome pack left by owner was lovely, two bottles of wine, savoury and chocolate snacks too ?. Although we brought our own, tea, coffee, sugar on offer in abundance. Great too having washing machine and tumble drier available. The accommodation was very comfortable and the lounge was spacious and airy. Location great too for getting to several destinations easily. We would go back again.
The Bungalow well furnished and very comfortable well equiped unfortunate.y the parking area lets it down.
A very comfortable cottage. The owner supplied lots of little extras
including wine which was much appreciated. Both the sofas and beds
were new and of a good quality and very comfortable.
The yard could do with a little TLC, but all in all we have no complaints.
