You have asked for a honest opinion and I will give it. Upon our arrival there was a painter doing the front of the house, the downstairs toilet door was jammed, dusty, dirty cups and generally disgusting. The owner came and had a good clean but this is not what I expected after paying a substantial amount of money. He came back the next day with more cups and cut the grass, although the garden looked as tired as the house with weeds growing out of patio. On his departure he promised to come back during the week to sort out curtains in front bedroom and clean all the blinds as they were full of dust too. He didn’t return during the rest of the 2 weeks we were there. On the Saturday after our first week someone came in and changed sheets but I had to email to get the towels changed. The single bedded room literally had 2 single beds a small table with lamp in. So no I wouldn’t recommend this property. It’s the first property for many years that didn’t leave teabags, coffee, sugar and milk for your arrival even though I brought my own.

We thought we were booking a lovely old house with it's own garden for the dog going by the pictures on the web site but what we got was an old tired and not very clean house with what I can only describe as people camping at the bottom of the garden there was a double garage at bottom of the garden in the pictures but when we got there the double garage had been turned in to a holiday let we could not let our dog in the garden for most of the week through barking at the people's dog staying there I've added some pictures of the dust under the bed very disappointing holiday.

Lovely “cottage” (period house) in Tintagel. The house house offers everything you need for a break away and is a good central base for the surrounding areas. Short walk to local pubs / restaurants serving excellent food. Also take always and local shops nearby. House complete with dishwasher and washing machine (saves doing loads of washing when you get home). Comfortable for family of 6 throughout the accommodation. Well equipped kitchen for cooking and baking (including food processor and waffle maker) and plenty of crockery for eating in. Lovely open fire in living room for cosy nights in winter. With 2 doubles and 1 twin comfortable beds and very large bathroom with big shower and nice large bath - plenty of hot water from boiler and central heating for all year holidays. Also pet friendly with doggy bowl and blanket provided. Parking for 2 vehicles (1 large and 1 small)

We were really pleased with the location in relation to the Town . The cottage was well equiped and loads of room for ourselves and the dogs . The lawn area was perfect and plenty large enough for the dogs to roam about and do there business ! A walk of 5mins in the morning to get papers and a fresh loaf for breakfast was spot on ! We would highly reccomend the cottage and the position within the town ,and ease of which to explore the local area especilly the coastal path walks with dogs .

Location and local amenities were excellent. Tintagel is a lovely place to visit with lots to do. Unfortunately we didn't feel the cottage itself was value for money or particularly dog friendly with messages on walls advising extra cleaning charges may apply! The enclosed garden wasn't completely enclosed with spaces in between the wooden panels where our two small dogs could of got out. We also didn't appreciate the shared walkway with the adjoining holiday home next to us. This meant we felt overlooked. The property was generally grubby (kitchen floor dirty, kitchen hob uncleaned, shower filter filthy, kitchen units hadn't been wiped down). On exiting the property we did a deep clean including the fridge, kitchen cupboards, bathroom suite as well as carpets throughout the property. The kitchen was lacking items such as a rolling pin, flan dish, cake tin. Additionally the beds were too soft, resulting in restless sleep due to back discomfort for one of our party for the length of our stay. We felt the £250 deposit was excessive and unnecessary where insurance has been taken out. This cottage was overpriced. Rather than feeling like a home from home we couldn't wait to leave.

Excellent location, minutes from the village. Nice garden space, sizeable house and everything you require to have a good stay (shower is fantastic!). 2 parking spaces but 2nd space is for a small car. Would happily return! Tintagel is a great setting and a lovely base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
