This bungalow is quaint and cosy, everything you need for 2 people and a dog. A short stroll into the village with 4 pubs/food and everyone accepts dogs. The walk/ride to the bottom is quite the experience, a must have, it took me 5 days to get the courage to do it and then it was in the Landrover. The signal for wi-fi is not good but your on holiday.

A clean property but on the whole I found it unwelcoming. Not a rug, or a carpet anywhere, unpleasant views from the windows, no storage for food etc. All the cupboards were full of other things and the fridge seemed to me to be a refugee from a caravan, ie. very small. Part of the water heating equipment was in the bedroom cupboard. This device made noises throughout the night similar to a rocket launching. Not good news for a light sleeper. For somewhere to stay overnight, apart from the noises, it is fine, but for more than this I would not wish to stay there again. The area is beautiful for walking once you are away from the crowded village.

This was not a bungalow it was a converted garage alongside other similar garages at the rear of the houses ! The parking was very cramped and tight. We were met with signs at the front warning of rat poison , beware. We have a small dog so that was concerning at the offset ! The outside space was also disappointing. Only a small shale , shady space with 2 chairs and a table which looked into a fence ! We didnt sit outside as the space also backed onto the house behind who had 2 dogs so would bark at the fence whenever we came outside to sit. Inside was comfortable. Clean and well equipped, but unfortunately not somewhere we would return to.

Of course it could have been better (hence my '9's rather than a full set of '10's) but this neat cottage was perfectly comfortable and pleasant, and in a very convenient situation for all the amazing attractions of North Cornwall. We were pleased to find, while securely surrounded by other buildings, we had a real sense of quiet privacy, could eat in the open air, and all amenities were excellent. We'd definitely be happy to come again. (No wi-fi was a drawback - or a blessing?)

Clean and minimalist. There was a distinct lack of clothes storage facilities. The immersion heater had a habit of suddenly making a loud noise two or three time during the night. The `garden` was about 7 feet by the width of a double garage, there were a few slabs and the rest was slate bits, not very comfortable for the dog. It also could do with a bin outside to put the dog mess in until the sack goes into the bin. And it had a crop of thistles and other weeds. We felt it was overpriced for what was on offer.

We loved staying in Tintagel, just a shame the castle was closed but we found lots to do. The cottage was clean and tidy and comfortable. The best place for breakfast is the Primrose cafe near the information centre. The Cornish man pub served the best Sunday dinner and the best steak, value for money at both.

Don’t be put off by your first impressions, we thought we would be sleeping in somebody’s garage at the bottom of their garden but when you enter it’s compact, immaculately clean and close to Tintagel high street. If it’s a base to explore the area this bungalow is more than adequate.
