Nice house, it nearly very good. We couldn't use the tv because the Sky box was missing. The lower ground floor is very very damp and smells (I know this because I am a chartered Surveyor). The sewerage and drainage from the house backs up and takes ages to drain away , again this smells. The sump pump is broken and is not pumping the sewerage or grey water away. Very unpleasant. The drainage guys came out but said there was nothing they could do. I couldn't recommend the house , and I wouldn't want to stay there again, and i speak for the rest of my party. I ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing few days away.

Issues with parking and slow draining sink and shower. Bathroom floor very slippery and dangerous. All were reported to the cleaner. Sofa very uncomfortable.

Isaac House is really well equipped and located - good for gentle or more ambitious walking, with shops and restaurants on the doorstep.

Isaac House was lovely and comfortable to stay in. Make sure if you are hiking up Haystacks to carry some cash with you as there is a parking machine there and nobody near is willing to give you any change. We are contemplating renting again next year as we hadn't realised it could house 4 people. We didn't get an opportunity to climb Scafell Pike due to the weather and so this would be our main aim for next year.

A very convenient central location. The house is well equipped and quirky. Seating in the living room is not very comfortable and the television is difficult at first to understand how it works. Parking is a small area for 2 cars which, as it is on grass, becomes extremely muddy and unusable eventually. We enjoyed our stay overall and recomend Isaac House.

The stairs didn’t look as they had been vacuumed in ages and the parking was unusable due to deep ruts. Apart from that, it was comfortable, good location and good set of cooking equipment.

Town centre location overlooking a public car park but handy for walking into town. Some early morning traffic noise. At the time of visit the sitting room had only a three seater sofa. The grass car parking space at the rear of the property is deeply rutted and muddy.
