The living room offers a warming multi-fuel burner perfect for relaxing in front of after a day of exploration and the studygames room is stocked with books board games and a games console for a bit of family fun. Stunning valleys and sweeping hillside views can be enjoyed from this idyllic location as can the many cycle tracks bridle paths and walkways all from the doorstep.\n\nNearby Whitby is increasingly popular with holidaymakers all year round as it has something to offer all the family including 3 miles of golden sandy beach donkey rides and ice creams. Whitby has an up and coming foody scene too with everything from Michelin star restaurants and award-winning fish and chips to tea rooms and family friendly pubs many of which are dog friendly. There is also a golf course nearby and many boats offering tourist trips out to sea in search of seals dolphins and even minke whales in the right season.\n\nThe Yorkshire Heritage Coast is dotted with hidden gems such as Staithes and Runswick Bay to the north and Robin Hood’s Bay to the south. Robin Hood’s Bay can be reached along the Cinder Track walk and cycle way and the Cleveland Way also makes its way along the tops of cliffs and into some of the bays offering superb photo opportunities along its path. Fabulous cottage in a great location for walking in the moors. There are not many facilities locally for topping up the larder so go fully equipped. The cottage was tastefully decorated and has superb views. A very relaxing time was had.

This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. We had a great Christmas there! A few minor things, no oven glove, tea towel or potato peeler. We had to go & buy batteries to operate TV remote. Also found the main oven loosing heat so was very slow. These things did not spoil our holiday, I just mention them so you can resolve for the benefit of future visitors.

It would have been nice to arrive to a warm cottage without waiting for the heating to kick in mid December at 3degrees outside with a toddler and a baby. I would also recommend that a bit of time is spent in the kitchen sorting out the cupboards as they are very disorganised which made cooking time consuming. I have given a low mark for local amenities as there really aren’t any- although you should realise that when you book this cottage. It was lovely hearing the steam train go past and I imagine that the views of it in summer are brilliant.

We had an excellent stay in this stunning, spacious very well equipped and comfortable cottage. Stunning views from every window and in an excellent location. So much close by to visit from the steam railway which actually runs past the bottom of the garden to the lovely Whitby. Fabulous places on your doorstep to eat and award winning butchers and bakers within minutes of the cottage. Fabulous choice of places to eat locally from hotels, pubs and tea rooms all on your doorstep and offering a warm Yorkshire welcome and Yorkshire generous portions! All in all a perfect place to stay

Great location. Beds more suited to 3 couples and 1 single. Plenty of room and good outside space.

The cottage and garden is beautiful with amazing views. Quite remote but we liked this and easy to reach the main road. Loved the walks and the surrounding countryside and the dog loved the freedom of the garden.

Stunning cottage in beautiful location. We stayed here with family and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, walked to Goathland which took about 20 minutes.

Stunning location with beautiful views. Comfortable house, although no shower in the main bathroom but shower only in the main bedroom ensuite - no toilet, took a bit of getting used when you had eight adults trying to get ready! Overall we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the glorious Easter weather!
