Come and enjoy Ivy Cottage set within the idyllic hamlet of St Florence, steeped in history and dating back to Norman times. Ivy Cottage is one of three adjoining stone built, chocolate box cottages set within a peaceful cul-de-sac. Furnished to a good standard throughout, the property offers a contemporary galley style kitchen and separate dining room for formal dining. There is a raised courtyard which is perfect to catch the sun all day, and there is a small lawned area below.

On an evening take a stroll to one of the traditional Welsh pubs nearby and enjoy some locally sourced home cooking. Once satiated, you can retire to your cottage and relax with a glass of bubbly whilst enjoying stargazing through the crystal clear Pembrokeshire skies. In the morning, take a walk to Grandiflora Plant and Garden Centre and visit the café for an early breakfast, followed by a fun-filled day in Heatherton World of Activities, just a 5-minute stroll away.
Locally the famous walled town of Tenby is within a 10-minute drive with cobbled streets and stunning beach. Boat trips are available to Caldey Island or why not enjoy a relaxing afternoon fishing? Try the local fresh line-caught fish on the harbour and take in the unobstructed views out across Tenby Beach, the glistening blue seas, Worms Head and the Gower Peninsular.
On a sunny day explore some of the 186 miles of sublime Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Path, which runs from the coastal village of Amroth as far north as Cardigan with rugged coves, cliffs and beautiful bays to discover. Family attractions in the area include Blue Lagoon Water Park, a huge indoor water play centre, or Wales’ largest theme park, Oakwood, which has something for all ages from roller coasters to paddle boats, all within 20 minutes from the cottage. Very quiet. Short walk to 2 pubs, but we only used the Sun Inn where we were made very welcome. Garden Centre and cafe on the opposite side of the road but we didn't visit as we were only at Ivy Cottage for a short break and weren't back in time. The cafe at the Garden Centre closed at 4 pm and the Garden Centre itself at 5 pm and we were out all day. Once we had figured out how to get the heating to work we were cosy as the weather was wet and quite cold at first. The previous week it had rained all week and there was a damp smell in the bedroom cupboards. Perhaps they need to be left open between visitors.

We had a lovely holiday and the weather was great which allowed us to sit on the patio. The kitchen was very small and the dining room was a window-less box . More crockery required to make the dishwasher viable if more than 2 are staying. Some may find scented bedding and towels a joy but for us who suffer with allergies it was challenging.

Ivy Cottage has everything that you would require for a very enjoyable stay. There is a good cafe across the road. Big stores are a short car ride in Pembroke Dock. Places to visit all within a short car ride!!
