Here you can stop off at a pub en-route or wander round Dolgellau, with its fascinating collection of individual shops and coffee shops. Or you can hop on the Cambrian Coastline train for one of the most scenic railway journey’s in Britain. If you would like to bring your own bikes there is a space in the utility room to store them.
To the south, there are horse riding facilities at Fairbourne Beach and the little village of Llwyngwril, known for its annual Yarnbombing Festival, and Tywyn, home to the Talyllyn Railway where you can experience a magical journey on a narrow gauge steam train up into the hills with waterfalls and footpaths at Dolgoch and Nant Gwernol. Northwards you’ll find a long stretch of sandy beaches at Morfa Dyffryn and Traeth Benar, and then you reach Harlech with its majestic Edward I castle brooding over the town (it’s a World Heritage Site). Beyond here is Porthmadog, home to the famous Ffestiniog Railway, the Italianate village of Portmeirion, designed by Sir Clough Williams Ellis, and Blaenau Ffestiniog, home to the amazing Zip World, providing both the largest zip wire zone in the world, and Bounce Below, the only place where you can bounce on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern. Beach 300 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

A beautiful home in a beautiful location. The owners are super helpful and friendly. Have visited here with our family twice and will be coming to stay again. Perfect for bigger families as so much space, amazingly large house with all high end modern equipment.

The house is superb, once inside. Close to the beach and town. The food we had in outside establishments - we ate out a lot was extremely good quality and value for money The drive from London was a long way though !
