No smoking.This holiday apartment adjacent to the owners’ home is situated a mile back from the seafront in the popular seaside resort of Mablethorpe which offers something for all ages. This is an ideal base from which to enjoy this area of Lincolnshire with good walking and cycle routes from the doorstep. Mablethorpe has an excellent sandy beach and the more energetic can enjoy a lovely beach walk from Skegness to Cleethorpes. Chapel Saint Leonards is 11 miles and Skegness is 18 miles. Visit the RSPB nature reserve at Gibraltar Point the Roman town of Horncastle famous for its curio and antique shops or the Georgian market town of Louth which still has 3 markets a week.     The only thing I could fault would be the bed is very hard and the steps leading upstairs are very steep. Apart from that I could not fault anything else.

    A lovely cottage in a very handy location for the area. Beautiful big bathroom with a big bath, well equipped and all essentials for when you get there supplied by the owners which was a surprise! a good supply of books and DVD's and excellent WiFi connection. Very comfortable. Owners friendly but not overwhelming and took the time to welcome us and see us off before we come home. The cleanest rental cottage I have ever been in - it looked new!

    Ivydene is a very pleasant and well located property sitting about a mile outside of Mablethorpe. The town has two Supermarkets and Lidl and a Co -op, plus various similar shops. The property when ewe arrived was spotless and both Sue and Graham were very helpful and friendly The property has a ground floor dining area and well equipped kitchen, although the fridge is a tad small for storing too much in.. Upstairs is a large comfortable living room with both a bathroom and bedroom leading off. A word of warning here if you are not a stairs person/s going up and down to the kitchen might be a tad compromising. there are 16 treads with two turns to negotiate.. The stairs themselves are, in our view, slightly steeper than what we are used to. That said we had no problems. Ivydene is an excellent place to stay for a few days it has ample parking. The one downside we encountered was the very poor lack of a stable WiFi signal, whilst I/we don't travel to other locations just to sit and use a computer the lack of connection was very irritating...This was mentioned to the Sue who had been aware from earlier comments, when we were leaving I was advised that the problem was going to be addressed.

    An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Very close to the amenities. We loved the feel of the place. It was very warm and welcoming along with the lovely chocolate cake left my the owners.

    It was ideal for two people and our dog. Very clean, owners very nice and next door. Left us a cake, some milk, tea coffee & sugar. Nice touch. Close to beaches.

    We were greeted by Graham the owner, we were made to feel really welcome. Ivydene was spotlessly clean, the lounge area is really spacious, the bathroom has a corner bath with an overhead shower. It was a five minute drive to Mablethorpe beach where we walked our dog daily. We would not hesitate to return to Ivydene, in fact it is the first holiday my wife has been reluctant to go home.

    We had a fantastic week at Mablethorpe. The accommodation was superb and spotlessly clean. We were vert gratful for the welcome pack which included all essential items (tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc). Graham and Sue were extremely friendly and helpful and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Can't wait to return.
