Comfortable, excellent location generally clean but had to clean kitchen cups and cutlery and need to take amazon stick if you want to watch tv. Would visit again, good value, central location and parking for car

The cottage is in a good location, needs a deep clean throughout, when we arrived the smell in the cottage was not good had to go to the shops for cleaning materials. Maybe our standards are higher than some but if you want a clean cottage then not this one sorry I’m just being honest all in all putting things aside it was just ok

Lovely character cottage. Great value for money for our stay in December. Decor starting to look a little tired and dated. Perhaps could do with an upgrade now, to justify quite a price hike for the summertime.

Very disappointing stay , poor standards of cleanliness and poor standard of maintenance , old tired furniture and musty smell in the property . On a positive good location and nice and warm And the bedding and towels were clean . Wouldn’t stay again have stayed in much better properties in bowness for similar money .

The cottage is quite difficult to find and is accessed by quite a steep climb to get there, so if you find walking uphill difficult then give this a miss. But if you want a dog friendly place to stay in bowness then go for it. Nice living room and kitchen. Bedrooms comfortable enough and the toilet and shower are nice enough. I would visit again. Great views from bedroom balcony of the lake

Jessamy cottage is very well situated. The bedrooms were lovely. Our children enjoyed the pool at the Hydro hotel. That’s a nice touch. Unfortunately our first impression wasn’t great as there was broken glass, litter and empty beer cans right by the front door. The cottage decor seemed tired and dated. The sofas were very uncomfortable and the throws on them stank of dog. Yes I know it’s a dog-friendly cottage but I would’ve washed them if I’d had a way to dry them. I don’t understand why there isn’t a washer-dryer. The lack of dishwasher meant that most plates/cups/plates/pans were dirty and needed to be washed before they could be used. I also had to scrub the grease off the oven racks before we could put pizzas in the oven. The grout in the shower is turning black and needs bleaching and the basin in the bathroom appears to be blocked as it’s very slow to drain.

My most relaxing holiday ever ( despite having 3 boys with me for a bike riding holiday!). Amazing views, tranquil setting, friendly farmer neighbours. Brilliant for dogs. Will definitely return soon!

    Simply excellent!!!!

Cottage needs attention to cleanliness and maintenance Particularly in the outside areas The outside table was filthy and I ended up with stains on my clothes

Lovely cosy cottage with views over Lake Windermere from the two external pattio's. It had every thing we needed and Stella the dog loved it. There are a couple of little things to bear in mind. It is up a hill or steps which didn't effect us but may need to be considered if someone has restricted mobility. There is a car parking space immediately outside the cottage which is brilliant. Hiwever you either have to reverse in or out along a narrow back lane. The space was very small for our vehicle but a small to medium sized car would fit. I am mentioning this last as had we known we could have brought our other car. Over all a really nice stay in a super cottage in a good location.
