The property was once part of the village store and has many original features and the bedroom has stripped pine floors and a cast iron fireplace. Bainbridge has some historical links with old traditions the site of the old Roman fort of Virosidum can still be seen close by. A good bus service makes this cottage an excellent starting or finish point for a choice of walks – along the River Bain to Semer Water or to the town of Hawes. Shop 500 yards pub and restaurant 300 yards. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/567/840/567070.jpg DC5451

Excellently set up and maintained base for two people to explore Wensleydale and the wider area.

Ok for two people nice to have a dishwasher everything you need for your stay on arrival at the cottage milk and biscuits left for us nice touch but a note left on log burner saying don't light the fire we did have a cold four days the two heaters in living room did not give enough heat out to cope there was no explanation why the fire could not be used , very dissapointed about this also there is only one escape route out of property in case of fire we did stay at a similar property and there was a eyelet in bedroom floor and a metallic rope ladder which you clip in and it roles down to floor outside something to consider.
