Very welcoming and friendly owners, lovely accomodation but could do with cosmetic updating. Bathroom tiling esp around bath in need of regrouting, plug in sink needs to be prised out with a flat blade as doesn`t allways "pop up". General repaint throughout would smarten place up a bit and cover up scuff marks and wear and tear marks. No hoover or brush available to clean floors and towels not changed at all during the weeks stay (never had to use same towels for a week any where else at home or abroad before). As other reviewers have said track down to property is VERY rough and ready so watch your suspension and tyres!! Overall a relaxing holiday in a secluded location but a bit more attention to above points would mean a higher review score

Didn’t expect to be staying in an extension of the owners house. We could hear them through the adjoining door! It’s a nice idea but not a luxury cottage by any stretch. Dog friendly...yes it your dog doesn’t chase chickens... the place just wasn’t clean or up to the standard of other similar priced cottages. There was no Info at all on the accommodation not even where the bins are. This visit left us a little disappointed.

Certain things around the cottage need looking at as they appear tired. Plug-holes in bathroom broken, bathroom bin lid broken off, seal and tiles around bath need renewing, smoke alarm missing upstairs, freezer compartment in fridge broken and kettle switch is broken and you have to fiddle with it to get it to work. Cutlery is so blunt it wouldn't even cut bacon so we had to buy our own knives! Owners dogs barked often and due to acoustics of building it reverberates throughout the cottage. The door handle and lock is loose and there's a knack to unlocking and locking it. The door between the owners cottage and holiday cottage is unlocked all week too. One blind in the living room is broken and won't work. The track to the cottage is full of pot-holes, which is ok if you drive slowly but one night one of the neighbours drove right up our backside and we ended up doing 25mph down a track that really isn't suitable for that speed. Saw owners son when first arrived, he seemed polite, and saw Derek once. The cottage itself is in a lovely spot; quiet and picturesque and due to underfloor heating is warm. I, personally, didn't feel the cottage was worth the money due to the negative points as listed above.
