Set on the Cork and Kerry border on the Wild Atlantic Way, a mile from the spectacular Healy Pass, this detached, 2 star, traditional, old-style farmhouse lies tucked away along a narrow winding road in the rolling landscape of the Caha Mountains. Old fashioned in style, it is set amid peaceful and quiet surroundings with a lawned garden and mature trees, and offers sweeping views of the majestic mountains and beautiful Bantry Bay. This makes a good base to enjoy the attractions of the area. There is a water sports centre and pebble shore close by, and the area is ideal for walking and hiking. Glengarriff, 12 miles, has a 9-hole golf course, and from here you can visit the lovely Garnish Island Gardens or enjoy the nature reserve. The Ewe Sculpture Garden is also a special place to visit. From the holiday home on the Beara Peninsula, you can take a ferry from Castletownbere to Bere Island, a cable car to Dursey Island, ramble through the streets of Bantry and visit Bantry House, just over 20 miles away. Both the heritage towns of Kenmare, 27 miles, and Killarney, 50 miles, make great day trips. Fishing nearby. Shop 2½ miles, pub 1¼ miles.
