By prior arrangement with the estate, guests are able to fish for salmon in season (at cost) on one of the most highly regarded beats on the River Tay; loch fishing is also available at Two Hill Loch. The estate has a long history dating back to the early 1600s when it was owned by the Stewart family. Over the centuries many famous people have been known to have lived or stayed here including several leading Scottish literary figures including James Hogg, Sir Walter Scott’s poet friend and protégé.
