Keil Farmhouse is a charming detached cottage situated on the spectacular Argyllshire coast, just south of Duror village.  Located within a working farm setting you can watch and enjoy the comings and goings of everyday farm life.  The farm has a variety of livestock including wonderful gentle llamas.   The farmhouse dates back to the 1930’s and offers comfortable self catering accommodation for a family of five. All the rooms have a traditional wood panel lining and upstairs the ceilings are coombed.  The large open plan country style kitchen/dining area is a great family space, with the Rayburn cooker providing a real warm heart to the room.  The sitting room is comfy and cosy with a wood burning stove.  The fully enclosed garden has outdoor furniture, mature planting and views out to Loch Linnhe and islands beyond.  The farm has two miles of shore front for you to explore.  The shingle beach is only a very short walk from the farmhouse and provides an abundance of opportunities for fishing, bird watching, beach combing or just watching the sun setting over the Morven Hills.  You can launch a canoe or small dinghy from the beach or if you have a larger boat a slipway is available for a small fee at Linnhe Marina, only a short drive away, where boats can also be hired.  Otters, seals, porpoises, buzzards, golden and sea eagles, and barn owls can be seen from the farm.

What a beautiful, lochside, holiday location! We had a thoroughly enjoyable week. Plenty to explore near and far. Alison, Ross and family were very welcoming and our children loved Pedro and the chickens! Thank you so much for a lovely summer break.

Wonderful cottage on a brilliant spot next to the beach. Very friendly and helpful owners. We regretted to have booked the cottage only for one week.

We loved our stay, amazing views across the loch, well proportioned living areas, and the log burner works really well. (A lot of the properties we've stayed in the log burner doesn't work properly) That it's on a farm just adds to the charm! Kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, etc but I would always recommend taking a few of your own things if you can, a good chopping knife for example. Would definitely recommend this place and we may well return.

The best place we have ever been. Great hospitality and a miraculous idyll, at the same time places for hiking, fishing, swimming, shopping, great pubs nearby.

A lovely cottage in a stunning setting. The children (11-15) loved feeding the newborn lambs, llama and meeting the newborn calves. We were only 30 minutes from Fort William/Glencoe and right on the edge of the loch. The house was warm and well equipped with a lovely aga ensuring an always welcoming kitchen. We would love to return.
