Great place for everyone. Cottage could do with a few extras just to enhance the experience but we will definitely go back.

Superb location. The cottage was clean. Lovely welcome pack. The kitchen is a tad rudimentary and could be better equipped with crockery and such like. It was comfortable and a great spot to explore nearby. Very peaceful and quiet. The area where the fridge/freezer sits needs some attention as it smells very odd. The details need to be updated to reflect that the shop closed a few months ago. The nearest shop is now the Co-op in Bellingham. The local pub, The Angler’s Arms, served good food with lovely service.

No longer a village shop which meant we had to drive all the way to Bellingham for the tea bags we’d forgotten to pack! Nice cottage in a nice location opposite the castle. Good walking all around especially from Leaplish water Park. Pub/restaurant was good there too.

Lovely clean cottage X all facilities were fine X great location for walks . Long way to go to supermarket in Bellingham but that was lovely village. Just needed an outside light to be able to see the dog in the garden at night

Lovely clean comfortable cottage, only downside very high sided bath difficult to get in and out of. It is worth getting a supermarket delivery as their is very little in the local shop, paper, bread, milk only.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kielder Forest. The cottage was close to some great walks and bike trails. The owner of the cottage was really helpful and friendly. The local pub (delicious Vegan options), cafe and bike trail centre were all fantastic and the service was friendly. A truly beautiful part of the world and a relaxing holiday.

A great little cottage, always spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Lovely to return to after a day out in the cold. Superb location for outdoor activities with the expansive forest and numerous walking/running/cycling trails on the doorstep. Excellent for the dog too. For all these reasons we keep returning.

It was our second time at Kielder Castle cottage. We love it there the area is so peaceful and the cottage feels like a home from home. It is warm and cosy on those chillier nights. It has everything you need and furnishings are of great standard. The beds are so comfy you definitely have a great nights sleep. The garden is not over looked and offers a lovely place to sit out any time of the day. There are some lovely walks and trails to go on and The Anglers Arms on the site is definitely worth a visit the food is delicious. We book this cottage because it is peaceful and remote , We will definitely be back to Kielder Castle cottage in the future and would definitely recommend staying there.
