Excellent value for money, very comfortable. Lovely and warm on winter evening. Owners couldn’t of done enough. Beautiful location. Thank you for the most enjoyable weekend break for my husbands 40th birthday.

Lovely place to stay, would recommend

Good upside down cottage! Live upstairs and sleep downstairs... Ample living space but the bedrooms are on the small side. Location is good if you want to be away from it all. No shops nearby but a friendly pub less than a mile away. Good location for MTB riding and walking. House is cosy and warm with a fab hot tub. Very friendly host who is on hand most times if needed.

Love this place. Been coming every year for the last 6 years. Lovely little cottage which has been upgraded each year we have attended and is getting nicer and nicer. My only issue is the beds arent very comfortable especially the master bedroom. I always return from my visit with back pain. Apart from that we love the place and have already booked again for next year. Our favourite thing is to relax in the hot tub looking up at the stars. We seen seen several shooting stars during our visit last weekend. It was amazing.

This was a perfect holiday - we have been to Kielder before but never stayed at Kielder Cottage. We were aware of how remote the location is so the lack of shops etc. didn't bother us, which is why everything gets a 10. The cottage and setting was beautiful, our hosts absolutely lovely, and the weather was kind to us. If you enjoy fresh air and the countryside, this is the place for you.

Warm and cosy cottage in heart of forest accessed by track off main road. Great location for walking and biking. One or two minor issues with missing/not working lights and broken shelves in fridge.

Had the best holiday. Took my parents as my dear dad had been in poor health and it did him the world of good. The owners were fantastic and the cottage amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back ..... perfect little break xxx

Excellent cottage perfect for a family trip in the wilderness.

    out of 10

The cottage was described on the website as detached with gardens, yet it was joined to the owners home. It does not have any private garden which was very frustrating as we could not let our dog run free. On the one occasion I did let my dog free, the owner let out her 2 dogs which was chaotic. The cottage was very dirty, dishwasher was full of dishes and I had to Hoover before we unpacked. One of the bedrooms had not been changed or cleaned and my granddaughter refused to sleep in there. There was no privacy as the owner often knocked, at one point to ask for extra blankets from the cottage, for her friends who parked up beside us in a motor home. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

A lovely, well equipped cottage in a gorgeous location! The hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly. We had a great week here and it was a perfect base to explore the area.

The cottage was chosen for it's location and the type of break we wanted and was comfortable, clean, well equiped and in a quiet location. On arrival we were met by the owner (Dave) who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. After a long day's walk the hot tub was a nice way to heal aching muscles with the cottage somewhere cosy to relax later in the night.

Excellent location for rest, relaxation and listening to the bird life whilst enjoying the hot tub. Cottage very comfortable and has everything you need.

A great stay at the cottage. Great for families who wanted to take their dog and have great walks on their doorstep. We were lucky to get some great weather and maximised the hot tub and local visitor attractions. We would love to go back.

Lovely warm welcome to this charming cottage. It is well equipped, cosy and has the added benefit of a hot tub. Great location which is ideal for exploring the locality. Felt like we were visiting family. Highly recommend!
