Had a fantastic week at Kielder Kip Cottage, the hosts are excellent and there are loads of welcoming touches from home made scones to a bottle of wine. Do plan ahead though as the closest real shop for for us about a 25 minute drive away.

A very enjoyable stay in a lovely cottage . My personal view on the local pub was somewhat muted and not to our taste a bit basic but that may be due to the only area we could take the dog. The cottage and the surrounding area are really great for taking your dog and we thoroughly enjoyed it and would not hesitate to recommend or to have another visit.

This was a beautiful cottage, very clean, and simply had everything you could need. The owner was very helpful, and even left us, scones, cream and jam,and a bottle of wine. The location is perfect for walkers and cyclist, being just minutes from the trails. Our dogs loved it as much as us. If you want to visit a town ,for shopping etc, you need a car. It was a lovely holiday in the most peaceful surroundings, We loved it

Kielder Kip Cottage was not “just another holiday let”, it was a home from home! We wanted for nothing. The amenities question above was difficult to answer. The walking in the area was wonderful. The small retail outlet however, seemed to be mostly closed, so we never found out how little it sold. The Anglers Arms was pleasant. We do not cycle but the hire facility looked adequate.
