Location ideal with access to seafront from garden. Generally happy with facilities but disappointed with lack of wardrobe in bedrooms, glad there was only 2 of us so could use the spare room as dressing room

Beautifully appointed, wonderful views, a real home from home. Locals very friendly. Would definitely stay again, in any season!

This is the 5th time we have booked the cottage. It’s so cosy and has such a great access to the rocks. Ideal place to relax and a base if you like walking. Great place for a family

Only the 2 of us and no discount. We don’t have kids and the second bunk bedroom would be very uncomfortable for adults. A larger tv would have been beneficial given a winter let and spending more time indoors apart from that the cottage was very comfortable

Good wee cottage that is a little bit bigger than it looks in photos. We thought it might feel a bit 'hemmed in' at the rear but the patio area was very nice with good quality picnic table/bench. We expected very poor weather but had a few nice days. Although the kitchen is small it was fine for cooking and eating in, especially as there were only two of us. Slight issue with the fridge storage but it worked OK and we managed fine. I understand from the owner a previous guest broke the door shelf in the fridge and the fridge will have to be replaced. As the owner points out, the stairs are definitely not for anyone with mobility problems and I would be concerned about younger children as I saw no stair gate. On a personal level, I would have liked a small wardrobe to hang clothes in and a chest of drawers in the main bedroom rather than under bed drawers. I think if I was the owner I would use the under bed drawers for linen storage rather than the wooden chests (nice though they are), and I would have at least one chest of drawers for guests in the main bedroom. As there were only the two of us we used the drawers in the bunk room and hung shirts on the bunk beds. On our return home I contacted the owner with some info re a building matter and received a very pleasant reply thanking me for the effort. We are familiar with the area and can recommend the location for visiting the East Neuk, St Andrews and also Dundee (about an hours' drive away). My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher Cottage and we would recommend it to friends and family we felt it would suit. Hopefully we will be able to return again in the future.

It was a charming cottage and we loved the gate directly onto the beach. Lots of things to do in the area.

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location. Amazing views from all rooms. We could have happily lived here! Agree regarding the comments about the blind in the bathroom but it was easy to put a towel over. Parking for us was always easy and the pub opposite caused us no issues, in fact we went in most evenings with our 2 young children who loved playing pool in there. My only comment would be that a wardrobe would have been nice although there was sufficient space in the draws for all of our clothes. Would recommend and definitely will return!
