The beach is backed by dramatic cliffs, with stunning views from the Cornish Coastal Path which hugs the tops of the cliffs. Porthtowan has a children’s play area, sand dunes, beach bar, surf school and a local pub. Truro, with its theatre, shopping and cinema, and St Ives are easily reached. Porthreath, a short drive away, is the start of the Coast to Coast Cycle Path. Bike hire, horse riding, golf, surfing and kayaking are all available locally. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

50 yards from beach. Playground opposite. Very comfortable. Absolutely everything needed for your stay is provided. Owners are nearby if any problems, and very nice people. Cake and flowers provided.
Excellent cottage, perfect location.
Shame the pub and chippy were both shut.
The house was spotless and very well equipped with anything you could possibly need. Great position and lovely garden which we made use of as the weather was kind to us. A very comfortable stay. Thanks to hosts attention to detail, and welcoming attitude. Would highly recommend.
My Family had an amazing week here, we could ask for nothing more for a week away.
A lovely house in a perfect location. The beach is a stones throw away which is great for children (and adults). Lots of toys for children which made our lives easier. Everything you could need for a hassle free holiday. We would definitely come again.
