Beautiful cottage near Keswick. Great pub and tea room in the village. Only slight negative was very remote and no local shop. Never explored the North Lakes before Keswick is a great town. Loved Whinlatter Forest & Derwentwater.

Comfortable cottage with low beams so a trappy time for us tall folk but that is par for the course and also part of the charm of an authentic period cottage. Set in a tranquil farming village with the delightful experience of twice daily milking cows walking by. If a return to nature is what you want, that's what you get here. Nice back garden to relax in and all mod cons in terms of essential TV and Wifi to exist in the modern world also. No shop nearby but good tea room converted from old village school and village pub also excellent. You are basically in beautiful Bassenthwaite area of the Lakes and it don't come more fabulous scenery wise. Walks and weather were bliss.
