Knaifan Cottage is situated in the heart of Uldale, a farming village which nestles in the Uldale Fells, with walking opportunities from the door. The picturesque village of Cladbeck is only five miles north and Keswick a mere 10 miles to the south. This delightful cottage, which is full of character, is an ideal base from which to explore the northern lakes away from the hustle and bustle of central Lakeland. Mae’s Tea Room and Gallery is 200 yards from the cottage, where you can enjoy a snack and Sunday lunch. The traditional "Snooty Fox" public house is only two minutes stroll away and the surrounding countryside of the ’Back o Skiddaw and the Caldbeck Fells offers a fell lover’s paradise. Uldale has a new play park and tennis court and superb views over to Skiddaw, the Caldbeck fells and into Scotland.
