A lovely cottage, with great shop and lovely staff just next door. Great to see the red kites flying over the farmers fields.

Very pleased with everything. Just one comment though. The double bed in the bedroom to the right of the stairs was too small. Definitely not a double and uncomfortable for two adults

Very cosy and clean cottage in a quiet village location. We stayed here over Christmas and had a wonderful time. The homemade cake, festive drink and dog treats were all very welcome when we arrived. Richard was very helpful and explained all we needed to know. The local store next to the cottage was very handy for logs and other bits and pieces. Would definitely stay again.

A fantastic little cottage that was perfect for our needs. Cosy, warm, very clean and with a well stocked kitchen. In a beautiful and remote location, but the shop next door stocks everything you could possibly need. Surrounded by beautiful beaches and forests, perfect for long walks. Richard was the perfect host with excellent local knowledge to make our stay one to remember. We will definitely return! Thank you :)

We were made to feel very welcome in arrival. A home from home. The house is easy driving distance from Galloway Forrest Park. The dogs were made to feel welcome with dog treats, bowls and a bed and their people were to..with cake, coffee and milk waiting. The only thing to note..for people with children..is that we only found the play park on the last day. It is behind the church. Im sure we will be back to explore the Forrest further ? The stove is a lovely touch which we enjoyed on the couple of stormy days. The storm next door has wood extra but we were given fuel on arrival ? couldn't ask for more.

Beautiful location, spotless cottage, lovely log burner to come back to after hiking in the Galloway forest, no WiFi to distract you from the amazing scenery in every direction ....pure bliss!??

Not sure how to score local amenities as one of the cottages attractions is that it is in a very rural location, far from the madding crowds, there is a general stores yards away, anything else is a fair drive away. We found it well placed for the many attractions of D&G area. The views from the cottage are stunning.
