This beautifully restored, semi-detached, 18th-century French farmhouse, just outside Bergerac, is splendidly placed for discovering the numerous châteaux, vineyards, prehistoric sites and restaurants that make this part of France still so sort after. Previously derelict, the farmhouse has been brought back to its original state by the dedicated French owners, over the past 20 years. Set in over 9 acres of private land, half of which is dedicated to mature gardens and lawns, this is a super place to enjoy a holiday. There is a large, outdoor swimming pool and garden area solely for guests, which is perfect for sun worshippers, and which is accessed via the ground floor double bedroom to the rear of the house. There is a large, well equipped kitchen and spacious living/dining room with three sets of doors leading to the front terrace. The friendly, yet discreet owner lives adjacent to the farmhouse and tends the well-kept grounds, the swimming pool and his many two and four-legged friends, including four resident donkeys, sheep, ducks, chickens and pigeons, all of which are in enclosed paddocks and cages to the rear and far side of the property. Guests are most welcome to see the animals and birds if they wish. Bergerac, 15km, has many facilities, restaurants, cinema and canoe hire. Saint-Emilion, 43km, is a beautiful village to visit, surrounded by impressive vineyards, Chateau de Monbaziallac, 17km, is open to the public and surrounded by numerous vineyards that produce wine of the same name. The beautiful bastide town of Monpazier is 60km away and Bordeaux 87km. Shop 15km, restaurant 10km.
Approximate distance to Bergerac airport is 15 km.
