At the edge of the river, on the side of the Gardon of Mialet, splendid bathing corners are available for guests.

Amateur speed at the Mechanical Centre of Alès, a beautiful and lively city, which has more than 90 hectares dedicated to motor sports, with 10 circuits for cars, motorbikes and go-karting. This property lacks care. The pool was filthy and it took 4 days for someone to come and clean it. The bedding was ripped and dirty and most of the furniture broken. I feel the owner has no regard for his guests. The Gard area is beautiful and had we not had places to visit this would have been a holiday disaster.

Strange layout that meant everyone having to walk through each others bedrooms to get to toilet and kitchen. Beds very uncomfortable, some of the available equipment limited.( No corkscrew in France ??) Pool filtration system made lots of noise but didn't do anything.

The property is set in a lovely quiet location and reasonably close to amenities, although car is essential. The property itself is pleasant, although the layout is a little strange and it is essential that you are all close as you are either walking through each other's bedrooms, or having to go outside to access the other areas. The property is basically equipped, the cooking facilities are limited, we initially had some issues with the lack of basics,; knives and mugs, but this was rectified during our stay. It was strange to stay in the big wine drinking country of France and find a property without even a bottle opener. The pool is lovely and it's a good size, the only shame was the surrounding grounds were unkempt and overgrown and not really usable. The place I felt lacked love, or had been previously occupied by people who hadn't respected it, either way there were a lot of broken items; patio chairs, lights, only two sun loungers weren't broken. And while the owner did fix some of these during our stay, and at our request, he also had the television fixed, which we hadn't reported, but he clearly knew was broken, and the premises hadn't been used for two weeks. The kettle also broke and was taken but not replaced. On our arrival we were shown around and shown what I thought was extra bedding if it got chilly, but it turned out we had to make our own beds. The place is quirky in its layout, if not a little impractical, but that's clear on the holiday information, and with a little love this could be a great holiday home as the peaceful location is wonderful, especially with the pool.
