This charming stone-built holiday home, with private outdoor swimming pool and air-conditioning, is a peaceful haven in the heart of the Lot-et-Garonne. Dating back to the 18th century, the owners have completely restored the building and converted it into a lovely holiday home for the whole family. In the main building, the ground floor offers one double bedroom with its own bathroom. Upstairs, a bedroom with twin beds turns into a bedroom for four, with two pull-out beds for children. Also on the first floor is a spacious attic bedroom which boasts a large seating area. An annexe in the grounds, near the swimming pool, offers a large room with two double beds, a sofa bed, a shower cubicle and separate toilet. Enjoy meals al fresco on the terrace. There are many activities available in the nearby area including horse riding, hiking, cycling, and tennis. Villeneuve-sur-Lot was founded in 1253 by Alphonse de Poitiers, to serve as a base for the fortresses in the Haut-Agenais. It was one of the largest and most powerful fortified towns in France.
