Nice little cottage. A few issues but nothing that would put me off from rebooking. (No logs and stove needed cleaning out also couldn’t lock the front door from the outside and hot water was a bit sparse)

It’s a lovely cottage, well equipped, comfortable, very clean, and nicely decorated. Lots of books on the lake distract, and a selection of dvd’s and games. Heating is good - we were there in winter and were always warm. It is oil powered however so the cottage does smell of oil slightly, be aware of this if it might be a problem for you. The garden is small and open, as it is part of a terrace, so not suitable for small children or dogs. There’s a nice playground very close by, and a decent pub round the corner, with a small shop attached. Pooley Bridge is a 5 min drive, and Penrith 10 mins. Lots to see and do in the area, and close to Ullswater. We can recommend Lowther Castle, an absolute gem, with an amazing adventure playground!
