Nestled in Lamphey, one of the most picturesque hamlets in south Pembrokeshire, this idyllic detached lodge is superbly presented and thoughtfully appointed. It offers you the chance to immerse yourself in this charming and characterful property, which retains original arched windows. On an evening, you can relax and unwind in the garden and enjoy the lovely views out over the meadows. Lamphey Palace, known for its use by the Bishop of St David’s, is just a short walk away. As you meander down through the country lane, you can smell the wild garlic growing in abundance. Indulge yourself with fresh bread and cakes from the village bakery, or an evening meal in one of Lamphey’s three restaurants focusing on local produce.
For those fun filled days on the beach, the village of Freshwater East, a mere 2 miles away, is perched on the cliff tops and is renowned for its superb beach and water sports, a day here is not to me missed. Perhaps enjoy a spot of golf at Tenby Golf Club; the manicured fairways overlook the breathtaking and sublime golden South Beach with turquoise waters. A 10-minute drive away you can walk through the arches of the walled town of Tenby. Explore the narrow cobbled streets with many craft, gift and coffee shops on your way to the harbour, where you can take a boat trip Caldey Island to see the Cistercian Monks or enjoy a family fishing trip. Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, and Oakwood Theme Park make for a fantastic family day out. So, come and immerse yourself in all Lamphey Lodge has to offer. Beach 2 miles. Shop/garage 400 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
