Set on the water’s edge on Lindisfarne Bay with views of Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle all around. This glorious property was crafted from an 18th-century millhouse which is believed to have been the site of the mill used by the monks on Holy Island for many centuries. Today the exterior preserves the charm of the older building while the interior provides very generous living spaces with a spectacular outlook from both the beautifully furnished sitting room and the conservatory. Full of character with original beams and designer fabrics the bedrooms are all en-suite and two have views over Lindisfarne Bay. The property is also suitable for mobility impaired guests with a ramp wheelchair friendly doorways and a wet room with grab rail and shower seat on request.\n\nThere is an abundance of activities nearby and numerous lovely sandy beaches. Bamburgh is 9½ miles away with its 4½-mile long beach and 6 miles from Cocklawburn beach. Don’t miss a visit to tidal Holy Island to discover something of the history and magic. Seahouses 25 minutes for boat trips to the Farne Islands to see puffins and seals. Discover castles at Dunstanburgh Bamburgh Warkworth Chillingham and Alnwick where you will also find Alnwick Gardens or the quaint villages of Ford and Etal and where there is a miniature railway and a flour mill. Even Edinburgh and Newcastle are only an hour away by train. Or relax and stay in the cottage to watch the myriad of sea birds just a few steps from the window. Beach 6 miles.
