On arrival there was a note on the toilet stating the toilet flush wasn't working and "a part had been ordered". We assumed this would be very swiftly rectified, however this wasn't resolved during our stay. We did try and call the office, but the phones weren't answered. Having to flush the toilet with a big pan of water totally unacceptable. Wi-Fi installed in the property, but the password didn't work, based on the information in the property handbook. Other than these disappointing aspects, the property is reasonable. Location around 10-15 mins walk to the centre of Grasmere is good. The property was well cleaned on arrival.

The picture shown on the website is misleading as this is not the cottage, it is the cottage plus another one. The bedroom/ bathroom is bizarre a sink next to the bed made me feel like I was sleeping in a hospital bed and a toilet/ shower room barely big enough to turn round in with a toilet that needed the handle pressing numerous times to make it flush. The terrace/ garden had not been maintained and completely spoiled what may have been good views. For the price I paid this is quite possibly the worse value accommodation I have ever stayed in. Extremely disappointing

The cottage was a dream. Very clean, cozy, though I preferred the cool temperature in the bedroom when I was going to sleep. Very quiet, no disturbance, and very close to Grasmere Village. There was easily enough equipment and we were impressed with the little touches of tinfoil in the kitchen and clingfilm. We absolutely would stay in that exact same cottage again

First, the good points: the cottage was clean, warm and comfortable and the location is fabulous - just five minutes walk into Grasmere village. Lots of nice local walks too Now the not so good: the cottage is really tiny and the one allocated parking space is pretty tight if you have a medium or large car. It was not well equipped. There is no wasting machine or tumble drier. The cooker and fridge are very basic. The crockery supplied was minimal. I had to purchase some reasonably sized glasses during my stay as the ones supplied were barely bigger than shot glasses and I like a beer! Often when I’ve rented cottages previously there is a small supply of basic essentials (teabags, coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper etc) on arrival but here there was nothing apart from a very small amount of salt in a cruet (the pepper pot was empty). I was there in peak season (over the New Year) but thought that the property was very expensive given my comments above. SUMMARY: tiny cottage in a great location. On the expensive side and should be better equipped for the price

A very nice location only down side re that was the very small parking space and the very small area to turn around your vehicle fine if you have a mini bet challenging if you have a comfortable salon car. We coped and it did not spoil the holiday. Extra towels would be welcome one bath towel each for the week was pushing it a little. A bowl large enough to beat eggs for an omelette would have been nice but again we managed with a little inventive use of a saucepan again this was not a major issue just a suggestion that a bowl would be very handy. We were lovely and warm and it was so peaceful.
