Southwell is walking distance or (should you be laden with shopping bags from the independent bags) a short drive. Take advantage of the independent shops, bakeries, deli, cafés, local farm shops and regular market; they are hard to resist. Undoubtedly the magnificent Southwell minster should be visited, the showstopper of Southwell. The owners are happy to recommend friendly local pubs, they insist on regularly sampling them themselves, as well as a variety of restaurants, take-aways and supermarkets for cosy nights in.
