Situated close to the harbour and the town centre of the popular seaside town of Amble is this spacious, semi-detached bungalow with its own heated outside shed for storage. The town boasts a number of fish and chip shops, an award-winning ice cream shop, a Sunday market and a fine seafood restaurant next to the lifeboat house. From the harbour, you can take a Puffin boat trip to Coquet Island and see the RSPB bird sanctuary. The pretty village of Warkworth features a hillside castle along with a selection of cafes, pubs and bespoke independent shops that are not to be missed. Amble is set on the edge of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty-the Northumberland Coast, which comprises empty golden beaches, rolling sand dunes, rocky outcrops, unbroken sea views and a network of tracks and paths. The region is simply a paradise for walkers and cyclists, and as the protected site stretches over 100 miles, you certainly won’t be short on places to explore.

Real Downtonians are advised to visit Alnwick Castle, which featured in the popular BBC production of Downton Abbey. They might be a little outnumbered however, as young witches and wizards also flock to the site which was used as part of the Hogwarts set in the Harry Potter movies. Adjacent to the castle is The Alnwick Garden, a fantastic complex of water gardens with grand cascades and the world’s largest treehouse.
If you’re willing to go further afield, why not amble along a section of Hadrian’s Wall, or explore the Northumberland National Park?

As soon as we opened the door there was a damp foisty smell. I have asthma and found the dampness affected me. We had to leave two days earlier than planned because of it. There was also a lot of dirt in the bottom of the front door frame. All internal doors were grubby and dirty, especially in the kitchen. We had to wash the crockery before using it as it all smelled damp. The bathroom was a lovely size, but the mould around the shower area was bad. The toilet was way too small. My elderly mother-in-law found it hard to move in the toilet, as we all did. The bedrooms were lovely and clean and very comfortable beds, but that was the only good thing about the property.

It was a great cottage. Tastefully decorated in a nice modern style. Really comfortable. The only problem is the very small size of the toilet, but we managed. The bathroom is a good size though, and it's good that the toilet is separate from the bathroom. The shower was great and it's good that there was also a separate bath. Amble is a lovely little town with a nice harbour, fabulous restaurants and shops. It's all about puffins in Amble and I wish I'd pre booked a trip to Coquet Island to see the puffins. We couldn't get on the trip, so it's a good idea to book ahead. Dave Grey puffin tours is the local operator. We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday. Thanks

Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable. No problems at all. The person who cleans is very thorough and should be given some praise. Only snag couldn't access ITV3 in the bedroom, which was nothing to worry about. We used to stay with another company in Warkworth but were so impressed with this house we will definitely book again.

Fabulous bungalow with anything you will need on your holiday. Rooms are all well equipped. Lovely cosy bedrooms. Nice garden area which I can imagine is really pleasant in nice weather. Great base for days out and plenty on offer if you want a day off driving. Contact with the owner was very professional but friendly and prompt. Lovely lady and great holiday home. We intend to return.

Dog and Human Heaven, walk out of the door and you are in the park looking out over the ocean. in the other direction 100 yards and we picked up fresh danish pastry's from the local co-op. A clean comfortable cottage with all we needed. Sunday Market and great fish restaurants on the door steps. Loved it here.

Lovely holiday home, close to the harbour, local shops and the coastal path. The rooms were bright and airy and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and instructions were left as to how to work equipment. Would definitely stay again.
