The cottage and grounds were really lovely, ideally placed for walking into town, and a lovely big field at the end of the garden for walking the dog. The cottage itself was exceptionally clean and well equipped. We had a lovely relaxing and peaceful stay, and plan to go back next year.

A warm and comfortable cottage, exactly as described. Wonderful extra touch of tea , coffee, milk and fresh cake awaiting our arrival. Beautiful views of the fields and wildlike from every window. Excellent bedding. Ok , one or two scuff marks on the walls from day to day use , but we all have those at home , and everything was clean, including the windows. No cobwebs, spiders or 'outside visitors' , even in the country! Dave gave clear instructions on how to find this well hidden gem. I cannot fault the high standard of this cottage. Ok taken aback a little by the security deposit( not had to do this before in 40+ years of renting) but having spoken to the owner I can see why, and it was promptly refunded at end of stay. We would highly recommend this property and would love to return soon.

The garden was great, ideal for our dog, loads of wildlife. Very relaxing to sit and watch. The house was very tired looking, although the owner had tried to update the kitchen and bathroom. The cutlery was awful, 4 knives, 4 forks, 4 spoons all were the cheap camping plastic handle type and very old. 4 mugs. Very basic. The frying pan was huge, too big for 2. The cupboards that didn't hold utensils were dirty. No spare waste bags ( had to buy more). Dust was thick under the beds. Distinct 'old' smell through entire house. I wasn't well prior to our arrival, I got worse after 2 days and we left on the Tuesday.losing 4 days of our holiday, Had the accommodation been better we may have lasted out the week. Sorry but I cannot recommend this property.

Beautifully peaceful location with birds & wildlife to enjoy & a view across into a field with horses. Garden secure unless you have an inquisitive dog as the stream in the garden leads to the field with lots of bunnies!!! Good communication from the host but no interference which was as we like it. Bungalow is a little tired in places but with dogs you don't feel like there are too many restrictions/rules to obey so can relax. The bathroom has been refurbished & we found the shower fine. Had a lovely stay in this cottage & will be back.

The cottage is in a beautiful spot with a stream at the bottom of the garden and fields beyond that. We spent quite a bit of time watching the birds that visited the garden to feed on the many feeders provided for them. On one occasion we even had a red squirrel taking advantage of the nuts. The cottage was very comfortable especially on the two days of heavy rain when we didn't venture out at all. Without the Sat Nav it wasn't easy to find the cottage so make sure you have one with you. Our mobile service provider was useless at the cottage as well, however, other providers may have been OK. With steep steps and the stream in the garden it is not suitable for young children but for pensioners like us it was ideal and provided a very restful holiday accommodation. Thank you Dave for showing us around on arrival it was a pleasure to meet you.

The bungalow was well equipped and beds very comfortable, the views and wildlife was stunning, very very relaxing too. Garden excellent too with little stream and plenty of bird tables to feed the birds and red squirrels. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and will be returning.

One or two things are ready for replacing eg the kitchen sink looks grotty and the shower is a bit pathetic. I personally didn’t find the beds comfy but my husband had no problem. The internet was problematic but the owner David was on it asap and got it sorted. The view was fabulous and so was the wildlife.

The cottage was comfortable and the location was lovely, a hairdryer would have been useful and as the weather was cold and wet details of how to work the heating would have been appreciated. Having said the above we would certainly book the cottage again, I can imagine the garden during the summer was a delight.
