    Comfort and Equipment

Cottage is lovely, attention to detail cleaning needed basics are ok ie kitchen and toilets but think cleaners need dusters as many items very dusty, chair legs, table legs, mirror in main bedroom. Boiler smell is very off putting and I know many have said this before. All said I would return, location is amazing our dogs loved the woods

The only problem was with equipment. We found one of the handrails in the master bedroom suite downstairs broken and left on the floor. The central heating system was faulty and finally broke down during our stay. We reported it to your Windemere Office.

Poor standard of cleanliness. Had to remove dozens of webs and spiders from almost every room on arrival. Thick dust and webs behind beds. Dead stinking decaying mouse found in bin under sink in kitchen. Master bedroom downstairs smelling that much of damp it was unusable. TV remote doesn't work properly, half the buttons do not work despite us fitting new batteries. Would have helped alleviate the damp smell if heating had been put on prior to our arrival. Worrying to see a lot of these same comments had been made on previous review sites. A closer inspection for cleanliness should be carried out prior/closer to guests arriving. May be a nicer place to stay in the summer months.

The cottage is lovely and well equipped, the only problem with our stay was the difficulty my not very able elderly mother had with getting up the steps to front door, back door was too steep and no hand rail. The downstairs ensuite toilet was too low and no hand rails so she had to use toilet on other side of cottage. The travel cot we ordered and paid for was not in the cottage when we arrived so we ended up buying one. We did eventually find it in the garage but it was too late. It should have been ready in the house. Please refund me the money I paid for this. Overall we were happy with our stay but recommend the owner looks at the accessibility for disabled guests. The cleaner arrived just as we were leaving and she slipped on the wet doorstep, hope she was OK

Excellent holiday, lots of secure garden space for dogs. Will return next year

Cottage would have been far better if the garden had been more accessible as was quite overgrown. Parts of the house that have been refurbed were very nice but the rest needs updating. Having said that we were all very comfortable and had a lovely holiday lovely secluded place .

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Low Fell. The cottage was very comfortable and cosy! The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Our dogs also really enjoyed themselves in the lovely garden. The tick remover on the notice board in the kitchen is a nice touch and so needed as our dogs had lots of ticks on them. They fall of the bushes and George the gardener also said they come the deer in the woodland. We will definitely stay at Low Fell again in the future
