Really nice place to stay, right on the Pennine Way. Scenery fantastic. Hosts brilliant. Only downside is the farm track you have to drive on for part of the way down to Low Nest Barn

We had a very nice stay, the cottage is big and spacious. The wifi however did not work untill the last day. The owner did his very best to fix it . Another down point was that the chickens defecated on our patio and when you did not pay attention you walked into it😔. The bedrooms where very big ☺.

We loved the accommodation, the owners were lovely, the views were beautiful, the lane to get to the cottage a bit bumpy but so worth it. Highly recommend if you like peace and gorgeous views.

Very welcoming owners. Beautiful location and surroundings, Alston close by for all your needs a short walk away along Pennine Way. Easy access to many walks. Area rich in mining history with plenty of things to see and explore. South Tyne River close by for great riverside walks. Red squirrels regularly visit. Very peaceful and quiet location, great for a get away from it all break. Had a great time and can highly recommend, if you like the great outdoors you won't be disappointed.

The cottage was wonderful, in a lovely setting in the valley close enough to the local town of Alston which had everything you needed with lovely shops and pubs.

We have stayed here twice now and it is truly a beautiful place. The inside is absolutely spotless and all your needs are catered for. Great for dogs as you come out of the garden and open the gate and you are straight on the pennine way. Alston village has a local co-op and spar for your everyday bits and pieces and cafes and pubs with delicious meals. Low Nest Barn is a great place to go if you want to relax and chill out, we highly recommend this place and hope to return at a later date:)

Absolutely fabulous location, spectacular views, lovely walks, excellent accommodation and very welcoming greeting. One almost doesn't want to praise it too much in case it gets difficult to book next time! 11 out of 10
