Just yards from the seashore in the quaint village of Whitehills, this delightful detached coastal cottage offers comfort and tranquillity throughout the year. The living room with its beamed ceiling and cosy wood burner is a wonderfully relaxing room where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine while viewing the ever changing sea. Upstairs the rooms are attractively furnished with comfort firmly in mind and again make the most of the view, where seals and other marine life are often spotted inshore. The rear of the cottage boasts a lovely garden made up of patios and borders with shrubs, a perfect sheltered place for a barbeque. There are a number of good walks in the village peppered with information boards describing the village life in days gone by. Today, the harbour holds berths for pleasure crafts and yachts rather than fishing boats, but there are plenty of places nearby which sell fresh fish and other goodies from the sea. The picturesque path towards Banff Links meanders along the shore which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a haven for geologists. Enjoy a round of golf at Duff House Royal in Banff, 3 miles, where good shops and eateries can also be found. This is a great base for visiting the other Banffshire and Moray villages and towns including Portsoy, Cullen, and further west, Lossiemouth and Elgin. Beach 400 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
