A great experience and cosy base to explore the countryside. Local pub sells fabulous food but if not driving need to either walk along the A road you can see through pod window or trek through farmers field, over Stiles etc. This was fun but a challenge in the rain. Overall a great mini break for my family.

Convenient location. Lovely Lodge. The lock box wasn't working on arrival and the phone numbers provided were not being answered so we were initially worried we wouldn't be able to get in. After a little while we found someone on site who was very helpful. Might be worth double checking the phone contact given. Thanks :)

We had a brilliant time in the Glamping Pod, we were lucky as the weather was very good so we had our breakfast outside every morning. We took our mountain bikes with us so we went cycling and then climbed Blencathra. The Farmer was brilliant and made sure that our stay was everything we expected. The Pods have everything you need, the underfloor heating was great and we couldn't fault a thing.

We had a lovely weekend and would definitely stay again. I was worried about being too cold at night but the pod was lovely, warm and cosy. There isn't any local amenities but this is stated on the website so it wasnt a shock to us.

Cosy, comfortable en clean lodge but the M66 is very close. Light in the bathroom should turn off after leaving: annoying during the night because light in the whole lodge. Manual for heating, kitchen and heating in the bathroom are necessary. Frontdoor could not be locked from the inside.

A lovely wooden pod. Warmed up quickly and maintained the heat. Comfortable bed and sofa was good for my daughter. My only issue was the bathroom light ...it cam on with a sensor and took about 10 minutes to go off. As it was next to the bed and had a frosted glass door this kept us awake and woke us up if anyone got up in the night ( maybe a blind to pull down on the door would help) Other than this a lovely modern and clean pod ...and we had gorgeous sunshine so it made everything even better.

Fab place owners helpful says 1/4mile to nearest pub but you have to walk along side of A66 no path if you want to go for a drink. Central to all areas of lakes will definitely be going again
