It was a nice experience in the lodge. Clean, useful and nice. However, the website doesn't mention that the lodges are located next to a high way. That was a disappointment.

A lovely lodge and perfect base for Blencathra. Great to have a picnic table alongside and the shower room and kitchen facilities were super. Wi-Fi weak - not necessarily a problem if you want to get away from it all of course, but worth knowing in advance. A couple of small suggestions to make it truly perfect would be to put the duvet cover on the sofa bed's duvet in advance and to provide a larger bottom sheet as it was tricky to make up the sofa bed and it would not have worked well for 2, though it was very comfortable for 1 as it was. Lovely to doze off with a view of Great Mell in the sunset light.

We really loved our stay here, had everything we needed. Great location to get anywhere, Booths in Keswick or many supermarkets in Penrith nearby. Fridge had amble space and a little freezer section. All the pans plates etc you require. Lovely hot powerful shower. We were already aware of the road as we looked on Google maps before booking, I mean you can hear it so if you’re looking for complete silence I wouldn’t recommend.. but we didn’t mind at all. I only have two minor issues, the first is there was no indication whether the water from the kitchen tap was drinking water, so didn’t want to risk getting ill from drinking it! The second issue is the lack of recycling facility as there was only a refuse bin! Other than that, we had a lovely time and would definitely stay again.

The lodges are set out beautifully and very comfortable on the inside. The main downside is the location, although close to Keswick they are almost directly on the A66. The weather was lovely during our stay but we couldn't sit outside as the road noise was so bad. Would definitely recommend these lodges in a different location but we were disappointed when we arrived that the proximity to the road ruins an otherwise great view of the lakes.

We thought the lodge/pod was so comfortable and excellent value for money with a great shower/adequate cooking facilities (once you worked out the hobs!). We've never been "glamping" in this way before so it was an eye-opener to find the uniqueness of the pods and the mixture with a working farm and the convenience to all the Lake District sights was an added bonus. We found a pub within walking distance, other pub/restaurants close by together with a Farm shop a short distance away. The bus route is on the main A66 although a fair distance to a stop which we never tried but we did try the Bencathra walk in the mountains and of course a trip to the many lakes, distillery, brewery and Keswick also. We will definitely re-book a pod in the future and please say a big thank you to the owner.

The place was fantastic well laid out and well organised. The only complaint that we did have was that the rain was lashing down and the road is very busy so we missed the entrance 3times as it is not very clearly marked. I think the should think about putting a light of some sort by the main entrance or maybe painting the fence bright white

Fantastic little hut. Ideal for one or two people. Rather like staying in a camper van but more luxurious. I had everything I needed plus being on the foot of Blencathra meant I didn't need to use my car for most of the week. Will definitely book again and bring my partner with me...
