We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary at Mabley with our family. The house was everything we had hoped for and suited everyone's needs. A lot of love and care had gone into making it a very special place to stay. The furnishings and decor were of the highest standard. Full instructions were given for all appliances. The welcome basket was amazing, including wine, cheese, home made cake, a steak pie and lots of goodies from local suppliers. Games room was well used by the older children and adults, as the weather was wet. There was plenty of room for 10 of us. Occasionally it was a bit chilly. We all felt that we would like to return there in warmer weather.

Mabley is a superb destination for any gathering. Steve and Helen have done a stunning renovation of the property maintaining the old feel to the property whilst extending with a modern spacious kitchen and garden room. We were all impressed by the how clean and well equipped it was. The welcome basket and cake were a really nice touch. The home made victoria sponge...my favourite cake was the best I've ever had! There was plenty of information available as to what is going on in the surrounding area. The games room was a real bonus and alot of fun when the weather wasn't being too kind to us. We all agreed we would not hesitate in going back for another family reunion. Many thanks to Helen and Steve.

All Is exactly as described and geared for making the most of both the property and the surrounding areas

A lovely "cottage" (actually a large house) very well equipped with lots of space both inside and outside. Modern comforts combined with traditional features and the option of dining inside or al fresco, and relaxing - either in the traditional sitting room, or in the modern conservatory, or outside in the open or under a shelter. The views across the countryside from the terrace are lovely. The games room was great fun but we were blessed with good weather so we didn't make as much use of it as we might have done had it rained. Our only criticism is that the kitchen was a bit too high tech for us (using the hob was a challenge!) and, considering there was more than enough crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment, it was surprising that only one tea-towel was supplied for a whole week (we had to request an extra one). Plus the flies (of which there were a lot) - but that's the countryside for you.

Good location with motorway and rail connections not too far away but sufficiently distant to make this a peaceful destination. The 'cottage' has a stunning aspect, a slight draw down is that the local village is just too far to walk to with no path to avoid the road. The cottage, with its games room and outdoor amenities, is superbly kitted out and ideal for a large family gathering, whilst the local area offers numerous wide ranging attractions. In particular if you enjoy good food you will not be disappointed by the local produce and range of pubs/restaurants. Finally, the owners who live nearby do not intrude but are very welcoming.

Wow!! Thank you Mabley for providing such a wonderful setting for a lovely weekend gathering with friends. 7 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby all had a fantastic stay here. The house was immaculately clean, so well equipped, and beautifully furnished. Every detail had been thought of, from luxurious underfloor heating to a full folder of instruction manuals. There was an incredibly generous welcome hamper, full of local produce and a homemade cake, and we visited 2 of the local producers to get some more. Nearby were lovely walks and a fantastic “farm vending machine”, and the panoramic views from the house were brilliant, with buzzards circling overhead all day! None of us could think of anything that could be improved, the house was perfect, and it was fantastic value for money. Would highly recommend to everyone!! Thank you Steve and Helen

We loved our new year's stay at Mabley and would definitely return. The living space is big and social. The kitchen very well appointed and the bedrooms peaceful and comfortable. The welcome hamper was huge and full of local goodies including Helen's delicious cake. Thanks for having us!

As a growing family of four generations we spent Christmas at Mabley away from any of our homes for the first time ever to enable us to all be together. And we were not disappointed. We even had Christmas trees in the living room and the sun room. Excellent. Mabley is set in beautiful surroundings and the facilities are wonderful. The welcome hamper was full of delicious produce most of it being sourced from local producers and much appreciated by us. The kitchen is very well equipped. The house is very warm and comfortable and there is enough space for everyone to relax. The view from the sun room is amazing and probably the room where we all spent the most time. Our only regret was that we did not have the time to make full use of the extensive outdoor facilities. As keen cooks we would loved to have had the time to use the pizza oven and the barbeque. It must be amazing in the summer. Thank you to Helen & Steve for their hospitality.

What a wonderful house. Everything so well furnished, well thought out and luxurious and so comfortable for family, children and baby. The welcome pack was amazing, certainly the best and most welcoming we have ever had. All was local produce and included where to source them. We bought some extra from the local suggested sources. The kitchen was amazing. We used the Aga and the pizza oven which were excellent. It was great having so many well thought out kitchen utensils, cutlery etc. All perfect for a celebration and made everything so relaxing. The beds were amazingly comfortable and we all loved the soft furnishing etc. We were so well catered for, including a celebration cake for my husband’s birthday, made by Helen and wonderful. Everywhere was very clean, the bathrooms all brilliant. We did a couple of National Trust places locally and had walks and explored Bromyard and Leominster. It was a most memorable house, the best we have ever stayed in. The design is perfect for family inter generational meet up and celebrations. My only regret was that we could not stay in it for ever, we will definitely be returning though. Thank you to Helen for making the house so fabulous and making us so welcome.

We have stayed in many holiday cottages before but, without doubt, this was the best by far. We had a friends gathering and found this to be the perfect place. It is a clever and beautiful combination of a restored family home and a spacious, extortionately well equipped, contemporary extension. Everyone found themselves wandering around going "wow" at things; everything, from the decoration to furnishings, was all high quality and in complete keeping with its surroundings. It's a lovely, warm and cosy house sitting in beautiful countryside with fantastic views down the valley. The welcome pack was something else, the likes of which I have never before experienced. It was packed with local produce and a simply delicious home made cake. A really nice and generous touch by the owners Helen and Steve. We all had a really, really good weekend and are already looking to organise a return stay.
