A lovely cottage in a picturesque location where you can undertake a hike right from the doorstep. A couple of pubs nearby but no grocery shops so best to stock up before you get there. The cottage is right on a road so there is some traffic noise but it's not overly busy. No phone signal (not unusual in the area in general!) and no wifi in the cottage (although there is wifi in the local pub) so send any last-minute communications beforehand :-). There's a nice outdoor area and BBQ, and a parking spot around the back of the property. A lovely place to stay for a few days and would stay again.

It was lovely to stay in a place steeped in history. Loved the location...downside too many knick knacks gathering dust....needs we cluttering but was fine for the 3 nights ..pub just 5mins walk away provided really nice food...it was a lovely break.

Was a lovely little barn, had everything we needed for our holiday. Great location if you want to explore the Peak District. Was a little dirty, thick dust in a few places. For the price we paid we expected it to be cleaner. Apart from that it was fantastic, would definitely stay again.

Great little cottage perfect for two and a dog - we went for two walks directly from the cottage from the book that was there. Lovely little wood burning stove that made it really cosy in the evenings. Great food at the Manifold Inn too!
