Location is really good for the town of richmond. Unfortunately I thought the front court area was fenced in but was not so nowhere for the dog or us to sit out. There was a very rotten wooden seat. No where to hang damp doggy towels. The t.v. didn't work no matter how many buttons on The remote we pressed. Very uncomfortable bed and settee and two very badly worn bucket seats in the lounge. Poor shower. The smallest bath towels barely went round of one of my legs. Kitchen floor not very clean but then dogs are allowed in the cottage but not upstairs therefore I think visitors are shuting dogs in the kitchen at night. Provision needs to be made so they cant get up the stairs. Would not use this cottage again.

Set in a very nice area of Richmond. Close to all amenities. Nice warm cosy cottage. Could do with replacing seating in living room.

This was a lovely cottage in a great location. We specifically wanted 2 parking spaces and the private parking was great. The facilities in the cottage were perfectly good. I did agree with a previous review that commented on the sofa being not the most comfortable. Would not put me off another long weekend there.

Stayed here for short break October half term. Ideal for exploring the upper dales. Richmond centre short walk from the cottage with plenty of pubs and restaurants. Try the castle tavern in the market square. Good food and beer . Only downside for us no enclosed area for dogs, but should have asked when we booked

We were lucky to have excellent weather, enjoyed superb walking right from the cottage door, tried several of the town's restaurants and pubs, all of which served lovely meals, and were pleased to end each day in the cosy cottage. It was quiet and superbly situated.

Richmond is lovely, would i stay at Marrick Cottage again, no, after being let down on our original cottage in Richmond a week before our holiday, this was the only place offered with a central location, it had no garden , no washing machine, and the smallest television we have had in 20 years of cottage holidays and a very uncomfortable settee. The cottage was modern and clean and in a good location, but not what we would normaly go for so yes we were disapointed.
