Stunning cottage in a lovely location. Very clean and cosy, everything thought of. Walks from the doorstep (buy pack of Hawkshead walks from post office).

Lovely cottage in a wonderful location. We have stayed in many cottages in the Lakes and this is the only one that didn’t supply anything for the log burner which is disappointing, we left the remainder of ours for the next guests to enjoy! Cupboards very bare with just salt pepper and a bit of cooking oil, again we have stayed at cottages with a few more cupboard staples. Overall though a lovely comfortable cottage

Great property with everything we needed and in a great location.

Very comfortable cosy cottage, very clean and well appointed. Beds were quite soft and pillows a bit lumpy. It would benefit hugely from better quality bedding. It had no outside space which wasn’t an issue for us. We did light the log burner which was great. Parking for a second car was a bit of an issue as very little parking space available but appreciate that is out of the hands of the owner. We parked the second car in the pay and display car park which is very safe and shared the cost. Overall we had a lovely few days and would definitely go back to Meadow View. If you want to eat in one of the 4 pubs you must book, they get very very busy. We tried them all apart from the Red Lion.

Parked the car on day one and didn't need it until we left seven days later as walks in any direction from Hawkshead was all we needed. As always, enjoyment is very good weather dependent!

Great cottage very tastefully done, just the settee is a bit uncomfortable. We love it here and have been a few times. It is a shame there is no outside area to sit though but it won't stop us booking again.

Really nice place to stay for a few days, clean, tidy with all the usual fittings and kitchen bits to self cater easily. Would book again

A delightful cottage in a lovely village location. Close to a handy Coop Store and several pubs which provide meals if preferred. Surrounded by glorious countryside. Felt like home from home.
