    Free use of the communal all weather tennis court and access to 2 acres of shared planted areas and large flat lawn with patio. Parking for two cars and ample visitor parking. Visit Britain Gold awarded property.

    Meadowcroft House is a former gentleman’s residence built in 1908. Over the last century it has been used as a school and hotel before being converted into a stunning complex of apartments. There are two acres of grounds including mature trees, manicured lawns, shrubberies and more natural areas to enjoy and an all weather tennis court is available for guests use. For the less energetic, the gardens are large enough for a leisurely stroll and are full of birds, rabbits and the occasional deer. Meadowcroft is a five minute short drive to Bowness with it’s shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, a local supermarket, and the Beatrix Potter Centre.
    Meadowcroft No 7 can be booked together with Meadowcroft No 12 (UK1291) and Meadowcroft No 4 (CC128234) to accommodate up to 14 guests.

    A very pleasant place to stay. Everything is very good except for poor WiFi connection and unable to open windows. I suggest air con for the summer months.

    Meadowcroft 7 is a pleasant apartment. It is well equipped and comfortable. It has been let out as a holiday flat for a number of years. We were there in 2014 when everything was new but now it is, unsurprisingly, showing signs of wear and tear. However, on the whole it is well looked after and maintained. It is on the top floor of the house and so you have no noise from people above. Most of our stay, there were no other neighbours at all so it was very quiet and peaceful. It is well located with easy access to Bowness.

    Beautiful apartment with everything you need. Excellent location within a 15 minute flat walk to shops, the lake and boats. Also a great location for exploring the rest of the lakes. We went to Keswick in just over 30 minutes. The apartment offered a ps3 but didn't have many games. However it did have an extensive DVD collection. When we arrived only 1 of the bulbs in the bedside lamps were working and whilst we were there the other bulb also decided to go. Something that can't be helped. We only used the double bed but it was comfortable and the view from the window is amazing! The only slight improvement that could be made is that there were some dust hanging from the corners of the walls. Needs to be more thoroughly cleaned. Other than that it was perfect.

    Amazingly quiet location yet only a 25 minute easy walk into a huge range of places to eat and all of the boat trips. Flat was equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering break, especially in the kitchen! Only downside was a couple of areas not cleaned but rest of flat made up for it. Great lay out of all the rooms with plenty of space, quite a hidden gem.
