    > Nestled down a quiet country lane in the small hamlet village of Letterston, this detached, traditional Pembrokeshire longhouse has retained much of its original charm and character, making it a perfect central base for a family or group looking to discover the spectacular rugged Pembrokeshire coastline and Preseli Hills. Set on the owners’ working, organic farm, Meillion Cottage dates back to the 18th century and has been sympathetically restored to uncover its original features including stone walls and exposed beams, whilst lots of welcoming touches have been added, including a traditional wood-burning stove for those cosy nights in. Each room has been tastefully decorated to a very good standard and disabled facilities have been added to provide comfort and relaxation for everyone. There is underfloor heating throughout the whole property. Guests can enjoy the lawned garden area with furniture, perfect for unwinding after a busy day exploring the nearby Preseli Hills with its picturesque walks and ancient monuments. Located just 5 miles away from the coast, the area abounds with fantastic walks along the iconic coastal path where guests can discover the charming villages of Solva and Porthgain, set within their tranquil fishing harbours and offering a collection of seafood restaurants and art galleries. Discover the historic city of St Davids, featuring the magnificent 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of the Bishop’s Palace, or for the more adventurous, take a sea safari expedition around the off shore island of Ramsey. The beaches of Newgale and Whitesands are within easy reach and are renowned for surf and water sport activities. Tenby is just a 40-minute drive away with its thrilling leisure attractions, including Oakwood, Folly Farm and Manor House Wildlife Park. Golf and horse riding nearby. Beach 5 miles. Shop and pub 500 yards.

We loved Meillion Cottage and would definitely return. Very cosy with the log fire and very well equipped. We enjoyed the home-made bread and welsh cakes. We bought two different makes of welsh cakes and I can honestly say they weren't a patch on Moira's. Very well placed to visit some beautiful coastline and saw baby seals and their parents at Marloes peninsular (made our holiday). Quiet spot even though it is on a working farm - we didn't hear a cow at all. Very enjoyable holiday.

One of the best we’ve stayed in. Warm, cosy & comfortable. Well equipped- even the knives were sharp, so rare in a rented property!

Everything about this holiday home is lovely, owner is really helpful. Welcome pack was absolutely delicious home made bread ,welsh cakes, butter and cheese . Spotlessly clean . The interior is well designed if you use a wheelchair my husband found it ideal. We will book again it rained all week but that is not to deter from the property it was one of those things, but it was a nice break. It would have been perfect for a wheelchair if the outside was tarmac or a firm surface in order that my husband could have gone outside. We had to bring the ramp of our vehicle to the ramped entrance to the cottage this worked Otherwise wheelchairs would be stuck in the gravel. We must comment on the children’s bunk bed room although we don’t have children it was fantastic with a den leading on from the top bunk what fun, would imagine you wouldn’t see your children for the length of your stay. Overall a beautiful cottage with an interesting history, mustn’t praise to much or there won’t be a vacancy for us next time we want to book lol. Thank you Moira and Rodger for a lovely week.

Meillion Cottage was the perfect home from home. So spacious, yet cosy. A lot of thought has gone into this conversion and the equipping of the cottage. We would love to come back to stay. It's location is good for exploring Pembrokeshire, both North and South. Local amenities are limited but there are several pubs/restaurants within easy driving distance. Really enjoyed our stay here - very restful location. Would highly recommend.

The main reason for choosing Meillion Cottage is that my husband is disabled and can't walk far. The cottage proved ideal for all of us. It is conveniently located, just off the A40, and there are local shops in Letterston as well as several pubs / restaurants nearby. I have taken 1 mark off for there not being dramatic coastal or countryside views from the property itself - although the coast is only a short drive away. We would definitely stay at Meillion Cottage again if visiting Pembrokeshire.

This is the 3rd time we have visited this cottage. It has absolutely everything you could wish for. Arriving and opening the door this year felt special. Everything was sparkling and welcoming. I can't recommend it highly enough. We would love to visit again.

Meillion cottage is very comfortable, stylish and well- equipped. There was plenty of room for ourselves and our 2 teenage children to relax. The bunk bed room is really cleverly designed and our two would have loved it when they were younger. There are lots of thoughtful touches at the cottage to make you feel welcome: Welsh cakes, fresh bread, milk , butter and frozen yoghurt when you arrive, guides for local walks and attractions, games, DVDs, binoculars, buckets and spades, spare beach towels. Beds are very comfortable and there are two lovely bathrooms with plenty of luxurious towels. The location is very quiet and convenient for many attractions especially St David's and Whitesands Bay which is a beautiful beach. On a clear night the stars are quite something. We had a great time in Pembrokeshire and would definitely like to stay at Meillion Cottage again: we have stayed in many cottages over the years with our family and we consider it one of the best we have experienced. Very Eco- friendly too. We would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We were late arriving due to family issues and the owner was very accommodating. The cottage is in a nice rural position enabling you to have a pleasant quiet relaxing break. A good central location for exploring. Excellent cleanliness and fresh homemade bread, Welsh cakes and frozen yoghurt from the farm - superb. If it was for sale I would have bought some every day!!! It had everything from a nice large utility room, outdoor washing line, two TVs in separate rooms, which is great for larger families. There was also a children's den upstairs across the the bunk beds.

Very happy with the quality of this home excellent renovation of an old building, modern eco conveniences combined with the charm and character of a traditional house. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility very private and good central location for exploring Pembrokeshire. Exceptionally spacious yet cosy home. My only observation would be that in my view the shop and pub are not walking distance. Having said that I am returning for another visit.

Meillion Cottage is probably the best equipped that we have ever stayed in (and there are many). The weather, at times, was appalling but, thanks to the underfloor heating system, the cottage remained warm. The surrounding area of Pembrokeshire is an excellent area to take a holiday, with many beaches and places to visit. Eating out is a pleasure with numerous pubs, restaurants and cafes.
