Millgarth Cottage is a fabulous spot for families and friends alike. The cottage boasts a colourful and charming open plan living/dining room with a multi-fuel burner the focal point. Upstairs there are three spacious bedrooms, a kingsize, twin, and a single, and a family bathroom. The enclosed garden and patio is great for the dog to roam around in.
If you love to walk, look no further as straight from the front door there is a public pathway taking you into a wooded wonderland and Hampsfell. The cottage is situated in the small and pretty village of Lindale, part of the south Lake District National Park and just a few miles drive away from Lake Windermere. Close by is the village pub, great for an evening of fine food and wine and a short stroll home! Just a short drive away is the quaint village of Cartmel, famous for its sticky toffee pudding and many horse racing days in the summer. There is easy access to the stately home of Holker Hall and its amazing gardens. Within minutes you will reach the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at Arnside and Silverdale, both wonderful spots with sea views and a wonderful promenade full of small tea rooms and boutique shops.
If you fancy exploring the area even more, why not head to Grange-over-Sands, again just a few minutes’ drive away, this charming Edwardian seaside town has plenty to offer, including a great golf course, wonderful seaside walks, pleasant cafés and a butchers. The south Lake District has so much to offer, from sailing on Lake Windermere to cycling in Grizedale Forest, birdwatching at Leighton Moss or treetop adventures, you will not be short of excursions and place to explore on your holiday. Beach 12 miles. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
