The cottage is fantastic, top quality, it has one of the best kitchens in a cottage we have ever seen. There are welcome supplies for humans and the dogs. We can not fault the facilities on offer by the hosts. Very good walks from the cottage for the dogs. The local area is rather built up and there is some noise from the neighbouring housing estate. Shops are very close by. Eating out, especially trying to find Sunday lunch out, was difficult, as most places where either closed during the day, or didn't serve food. So we recommend taking some supplies with you.

Beautiful cottage in the lovely village of Meltham. The cottage was equipped with everything you needed, and had lovely comfy beds. The front garden was secure, which was great for our two dogs, and there was secure parking for two cars at the rear of the property. There were excellent walks nearby and a lovely village pub and local shops all within walking distance. Brilliant!!

The cottage was for visiting family, would most definitely rent the cottage again.

The cottage was fantastic. It was stocked with everything you needed including a good supply of coal for the fire, kitchen foil, clingfilm, washing up liquid, tea, coffee. The owners are next door and are happy to help with any queries. In the cottage there is a plentiful supply of things to do and local information. If you enjoy walking this makes a great base for exploring the area. We will definitely return

We had great time a Millmoor Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and full of character. We were concerned that some of the previous reviews mentioned no back garden but it is no trouble at all as the front garden has plenty of space for our dog and it is very secure. Off-road Parking is very secure and there is a supermarket in very close proximity. We very much enjoyed it time there and it felt like a home from home.

A brilliant cottage. So well equipped, extremely modern, comfortable and well placed to explore this area of Yorkshire. The owners are very welcoming. The addition of a coal fire was wonderful and kept us cosy.

We were very impressed with this cottage which was very comfortable, clean and most attractive. The owners have thought of everything that one might need.

Positives-spotless, equipped and furnished to a standard even higher than the advert indicated. Well situated for visiting local places of interest. Modern bathroom and kitchen tastefully complimented the traditional feel of the other rooms which had a lovely open fire and beamed ceilings. All equipment/furniture was of a high quality. Downside- being a listed building, it had no back door. This meant that the car parking was not as close as one might want in the pouring rain! The property is not rural( it doesn’t claim to be) but is surrounded by a modern housing estate- don’t expect a view and you won’t be disappointed. Any other “faults “ we consider to be preferences rather than criticism, such as the shower being over the bath. Overall, a superb property with lots to do within easy reach and undoubtedly very comfortable- cleanliness was beyond reproach- well done to Paul the owner who was pleasant and friendly without being intrusive.

An excellent, historical cottage - very homely, relaxing, peaceful and remarkably quiet - very clean and well equipped - excellent location for exploring the countryside around Holmfirth - owners live next door but give you privacy - very much recommended

We all had such a lovely time including Terence our dog.? Paul was very helpful and it was nice to have him and his wife living next door. It was very thoughtful to arrive to cookies and doggy biscuits.? The cottage itself was delightful and we noticed how warm it was on arrival which was nice after a long journey. The cottage has so much character and offered a peaceful relaxing place to be. We particularly loved the kitchen but then all of the cottage was perfect. We would stay again and we also loved the area and the hills and countryside particularly the last of the summer wine tour and exhibition and sids cafe was a treat.
