Wonderful little cottage that was perfect for our little cottage. It has everything you need and nothing you don't. Brilliant location if you're looking for a bit of isolation. John is next door and very friendly and helpful but leaves you alone to enjoy your holiday in the peace that the cottage provides. The garden furniture could possibly do with an upgrade, but apart from that, we loved it here and wouldn't hesitate to go back again. it's close to Peak Wildlife Park and Alton Towers - so our little one had a great time too. And for us it was so nice to escape to the quiet of the cottage when the day is done.

The cottage is in a wonderful location, ideally suited for walking or cycling in the Peak District but is also nice and quiet for a perfect getaway. The cottage itself is clean, well equipped and perfect for couples. The owner, John - a true gentleman, lives next door and he is really helpful should you need him but otherwise leaves you alone to enjoy your holiday. Would thoroughly recommend this property and would go back again.

The cottage was fine but the owner was rude, aggressive and cantankerous. I got a call from him the day after I left shouting down the phone at me for leaving the heating on when I left. I had switched the heating to a position I thought was off and when I tried to get a word in edgeways to give him my perspective he would not shut up. I had to scream down the phone to get him to stop his tirade and listen. I wanted to help him stop this happening again but the man was not for listening so I put the phone down. Cottage is ok of a little small but do not cross the owner!!! Get things wrong at your peril.
