Patio with garden furniture. Bike store by arrangement with owner. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. \n Set on the ridge above Haltwhistle under a mile away downhill this very comfortable cottage has a contemporary feel within a traditional building. There are south-facing views across the valley from the living area and bedrooms and a sheltered seating area within the garden with wide views in the other direction towards Hadrian’s Wall under 3 miles away. This remarkable central section of Hadrian’s Wall is perhaps one of the best walking and cycling areas in the country with great variety in terrain well maintained well signed routes and plenty of welcoming pubs and cafés. Visit The Sill 5 miles the National Landscape Discovery Centre to learn about dark skies at Cawfields 3 miles try out a family competition of geo-caching skills at Walltown Country Park 2½ miles or brave the outdoor swimming pool in Haltwhislte. Venture further afield to Hexham or to Keilder Forest Park or it’s an easy drive to both Carlisle and Newcastle. Haltwhistle has a good range of pubs restaurants and local shops.     Comfortable, warm cottage with excellent facilities. Relatively easy to walk down to Haltwhistle, good shops and food there.

    had a great time, lovely spot, clean and welcoming. had a bit of fun with the 2 way light switching! lovely views from the front and back. the walk up from the pubs is quite steep but not to bad but don't forget your torch.
