The property is located less than 1 minute walk from a water treatment works (check google maps). The house is a decent size, our family of 5 however was not accommodated for. We couldn’t use a bedroom because of the unbearable stench coming from all of the animal droppings on the floor (photos below), thus my two daughters had to sleep on the sofa. The dishwasher that is advertised does not work, as it is not even attached to a water source, so ignore the advertisement on the cottage page. The deposit seemed very illegitimate, on the website it says £50 deposit, the owner asked for £100, and after looking at reviews others have been charged up to £150 for deposit! Be aware of paying deposit on this place due to its condition and poor sanitary levels. There is one bathroom and another en-suite shower only room, this shower leaks onto the master bedroom floor, not enough kitchen equipment for 5 people. Get pest control in, we are included in the last few guests who spotted rats by the bins

Overall excellent If I had to be really picky, then. Could do with a bit of maintenance as the doors are hard to lock No bags for vacuum cleaner But other than that it was absolutely fantastic Thank you

Cottage was nice but there was a lot of cobwebs behind the cupboards and the outside sheds needs upgrading but still enjoyed my week there

The cottage was very convenient for the marina etc. We enjoyed the space and the home from home feel. It was great having parking with a gate providing security. I spoke with the owner before arrival and negotiated an early arrival, jo seemed very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend

The cottage was lovely and quiet and a great base to work from. The cottage had plenty of space and the kitchen had every utensil you could think of. The master bed was so comfy we both loved it. Our only two negative points were, one the cottage didn't get warm enough to dry our bathroom towels and secondly the oven had not been cleaned before we arrived. We did not use it at all apart from the hob.
