Lovely, cosy, clean cottage that is ideal for a couple wishing to get a quiet break away but well placed to visit Northumberland. Great local pub with very good food. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful.

Lovely cottage in rural area local pub is closed down next nearest pub is not really walking distance, which was a bit of a drag as driver could not have a beer. Bit misleading on welcome cottage profile. Apart from that lovely place to stay, hadrians wall close by Hexham etc. Enjoyed our stay probably only reason wouldn’t come back is that local pub has closed down and it’s a good mile and a half to next nearest, not ideal if you fancy a beer after a hard days walk of the wall. But that’s my only grumble
